WHAT: The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, an open-air lifestyle shopping center in Center Valley, Pennsylvania (www.thepromenadeshopsatsauconvalley.com), today announced a series of fun-filled ways for families to share their wish lists and spend time with Santa Claus this holiday season. From an exciting Santa’s arrival and visits with Santa in his festive holiday home to a community tree lighting event and a special storytime with Santa, this holiday season at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley promises to be extra special. Holiday Events & Activities
Santa’s Arrival & Tree Lighting Event: On Saturday, November 18th, The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley will welcome Santa Claus as he arrives at Town Square via fire truck just in time for the center’s spectacular tree-lighting event, presented by the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Starting at 5 p.m., families are invited to find the perfect spot to welcome the holiday season as they gather around the center’s 35-foot Christmas tree with a 7-foot star. During the event, the center will showcase the incredible talents of local school choirs and dance groups and will host a performance at The Patio by The Flying Ivories, an entertaining duo providing an all-request sing-along on two pianos that is part music, part comedy. At 8 p.m., Santa will light the tree, then make his way to his festive holiday home inside the stone gazebo in Town Square (near Starbucks) where children and their families can visit and share their wish lists with Old St. Nick. The evening’s festivities will conclude as families take professional photos with Santa; while walk-ups will be accommodated on a case-by-case basis, reservations are strongly encouraged. Santa will also be available for professional photos taken by Dan’s Camera City in the gazebo on select dates from November 18th through December 24th. Photo packages range from $27 to $49. Storytime with Santa: The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley invites children and their families to enjoy a special storytime with Santa on November 26th, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 am at Barnes & Noble, adjacent to the center’s holiday-themed Candy Cane Lane, a winter wonderland showcasing up-and-coming local businesses. During this fun-filled event, Santa will read a cheerful holiday-themed book (available for purchase at Barnes & Noble following the event). This event is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. Immediately following the event, Santa will head to the gazebo in Town Square for professional family photos taken by Dan’s Camera City. While a reservation is not required and walk-up visits will be accommodated on a space-available basis, to reduce wait times, pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Pet Nights with Santa: Pet owners are invited to bring their furry four-legged friends to a special pet photo session with Santa Claus from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on two Thursday evenings: December 7th and December 14th. During these times, well-mannered pets can visit with Santa in his festive holiday home inside the center’s stone gazebo in Town Square (near Starbucks) while professional photographers from Dan’s Camera City capture the memories as Santa and each fur baby enjoy a warm encounter. Photo packages range from $27 to $49.
